The IP address 192.168.1.1 is a default IP address for many routers and ADSL model. A router or ADSL model can handle multiple IP addresses but most of the manufactures prefer 192.168.1.1 IP address as a default IP address. After login to the router, you can change and setup all necessary settings like IP Qos, DNS, Proxy, network management, LAN, WAN, WLAN settings, security options, PPPOE, MAC, WPS, DSL, and DHCP client.

Open any browser and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 on the browser address and press on Enter button. If the 192.168.1.1 IP address is not used for your router, you have to find the right IP address of your router in the router manual. For correct using IP address, you will get the login page and type the default username and password. If you cannot remind the username and password what you have set, follow the instructions below. What to do if you forgot your router’s username and password?
If you do not know the default username or password and you have not changed those, then you should check the manual of the router or check label of the router. If you have changed the login details and you cannot remind the login password, you have to reset router.
